Big Four Ice Caves

A trip report for Big Four Ice Caves
Posted by Brian Franey
Road Issues: Minor potholes
Trail Condition: Easy to navigate
Bugs: Bring spray
Snow Level: Starts at 2,000 ft

Very crowded on a hot day, but a lot of fun for the whole family. There were some areas of loose gravel on the road between the Verlot Public Service Center and the trailhead, but nothing major. Campgrounds along the way were full- a lot of people out camping.

One other thing- roadwork near Lake Stevens required us to miss the turnoff towards Granite Falls. Good detour signage got us there though no problem. All in all a great family hike and beautiful drive.
